The City of Vaughan is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information. We recognize our special obligation to maintain the trust and confidence of our residents.

Personal information provided via vaughanvotes.ca or thisisyourspace.ca is collected and/or used in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (the Act). If at any time your personal information is being collected, you will be provided with a Notice of Collection which will include:

  1. the legal authority for the collection
  2. the principle purpose for which the information is intended to be used
  3. the title, business address and telephone number of an employee who can answer your questions

Personal information is retained in accordance with the Records Retention Schedule or the Act as appropriate.
