Financial Statements

All candidates in the 2010 municipal elections (including those who have withdrawn nominations) were required to file a Financial Statement – Auditor’s Report (Form 4) on or before 2:00 p.m. March 25, 2011.

Candidates who submitted an application to the City Clerk on or before 4:30 p.m. December 31, 2010 to extend their campaign to eliminate a deficit are required to file a supplementary financial statement on or before 2:00 p.m. September 30, 2011 in addition to the March 25, 2011 deadline. Candidates who have an asterisk beside their name (below) have extended their campaign to June 30, 2011.

The following candidates failed to file a Financial Statement – Auditor’s Report (Form 4) and are therefore in default under section 80 (1) of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996. In this case, each candidate is ineligible to be elected or appointed to any office to which the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, applies up to and including the 2014 municipal elections:

*Mario Di Nardo

Councillor Ward 1:

Robert Irwin

York Region District School Board - Area 1

Everett R. Hamilton

York Catholic School Board - Area 4

In addition, contributors to the campaigns of Mr. Irwin, Mr. Lorini, Ms Jackson, and Mr. Di Nardo will not be eligible for rebates under the City of Vaughan Contribution Rebate Program.
